Rev. Rachel Ciupek-Reed

Rachel Ciupek-Reed joins us from Northern California, where she recently graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. She holds a B.S. in Information Technology and has spent the last 10+ years working in fundraising and technology.

The third of five children, Rachel grew up in the American Baptist denomination -- in fact, her mother, father, step-father, and grandmother are all ordained American Baptist ministers, which, she claims, explains why her preaching can sometimes have a bit of a southern accent to it!

She found the UCC in seminary, and knew that a denomination that believed in extravagant welcome was destined to become her home.

Before moving south, Rachel worked part-time as a computer consultant, and part-time as the Director of Outdoor Ministries for the Northern California Nevada Conference of the UCC.
